Eastern Himalayas and Western ranges have always captivated hikers, climbers and tourists from adventure for decades. Western ranges of the Himalayas, Ladak has been the location of the adventure and cultural tourism since 1974, when the Government of the India launched this open area for world tourism.
Ladakh is totally a different, more like the Tibetan plateau landscape. Almost 31000 tourists visit Ladakh region from May to September and generate 60% of revenues.This region has a number of walks on high passes and snow-capped peaks, attraction for tourism aventura.Pero Marja valley hike is one of the popular in leh walks.
Marja valley hike is a long and narrow strip of 13-14 kms of the Markha River originates in the Nimaling plateau. Valley has a unique look with pompous Stoke and Mashu mountain ranges on one side and Zanaskar range in side.It others are a route to the peak of Yatse Kang, high 6400mts.
The splendid view of the snow-capped peaks of King Yatse twins dressed bridge by snow vertical rock zoom into the blue sky give soft touches to the eyes and mind aventureros.Nimaling – high 4720mtrs is a lawn open base camp to Kang Yatse peak field. In the summer that this area is inhabited by the shepherds with their young people, who tend to their livestock grazing in this area.
Two peaks of Kang Yatse, peak on the right side is readily accessible to the non – climbing technique but requires mountaineering equipment to climb the peak 6200mts.
In an attempt to experience this hike and the scale of Kang Yatse peak in the Valley of Marja, a group of British students of Marlborough College, London undertook this adventure trip.The accompanied by mountain experts group flew in from London to Leh with essential mountain equipment. In Leh, were instructed to avoid any movement accelerated for 24 hours until it reaches themselves seasoned high-altitude, where oxygen is less. The next day the Group visited Palace Leh, Shanti Stupa and Gompha Shankar and return to the hotel. After this visit is changed to Stoke Palace camping.
Here in the camp of Stoke, the Group spent his first night in tents. The villagers of Stoke night performed a traditional cultural dance.Ladakh damsels dressed in Chachapoyas, colorful commerband and cobra flame-shaped hats matériel tachonado stone turquoise, danced in the melodies of trumpets and drum beats.The Group had their dinner under the lights of the lantern and battery in tents.The next day they set out for a walk.The two first kilometres walk passed through the village gravel track until the beginning of the first slow climb.The Group took the path of Stokla.Further rise was pronounced with elevation approximate degree of 50-60.El sky was closed sky and the cool breeze began to blow up showers struck the mountain zone group moved up the Hill until they reached another camp Stokla base site (Stoke is the name of the place, means it a pass in Ladakh language) was approximately 6 – 7 hrs slow and study climb to the base of Stokla.Los young students with exhausted with the steep climb and had wheezing amplitud.En medical Stokla performed medical check-up of the team, to ensure that none of the hiker had great evil altura.Fue another day to the next stop on Rambak.
